The Heaven Hill Riding Academy is dedicated to providing educational and developmental lessons for all levels of learners and aspiring horsemen and women.

Academy Overview

During your first visit to the farm, our trainer will meet with you to better understand your riding experience and goals.  During that meeting, we will jointly determine the appropriate learning track for you.

Introductory Learner

Our Academy curriculum starts with the fundamentals of safety and horse handling.  In a one-on-one structure, students are introduced to the basic concepts and riding positions.

After a guided tacking session, students will learn basic gaits, steering and riding positions.  Following each lesson, students will be supported with de-tacking and returning the lesson horse to their designated paddock.

Introductory Learners will be assigned a Heaven Hill Farm pony or horse appropriate for the curriculum.  We recommend 2 lessons per week to build strength and confidence.
